National News: New Save Our Streams Coordinator
(?)
Outdoor America 2017, Issue 2
(?)
To support the League’s Clean Water Challenge to monitor 100,000 more stream sites by 2022 – and provide the training many new volunteers will need – the League created a Save Our Streams (SOS) Coordinator position. This new staffer should be a familiar face to many Ikes. Samantha Roth served as the League’s Clean Water Fellow for one year before being promoted to this new role. As SOS Coordinator, she is tasked with recruiting, training, mobilizing, and supporting a nationwide network of volunteer stream monitors using the League’s nationally recognized Save Our Streams program. We are excited to have Samantha on-board to support the League’s clean water goals!
