National Shooting Sports Month

The League often partners with government agencies, the shooting sports industry, and other conservation organizations to promote participation in shooting sports. This summer, we are partnering with the National Shooting Sports Foundation to offer a wide range of people opportunities to experience recreational shooting sports for the first time as part of National Shooting Sports Month.

Throughout the month of August, League chapters will open their facilities to novice and first-time shooters. Many events will provide equipment for participants to try out, introductory lessons on different types of shooting sports, and experienced instructors to help beginners learn to shoot safely and responsibly.
