Izaak Walton League Trust

The purpose of the Izaak Walton League Trust is to provide a source of stable, unrestricted dollars to the League. Through this permanent fund, your donation keeps on working year after year.

There are many ways to support the Trust. You can make a simple cash donation, give a gift of stock, or name the Trust as a beneficiary of a planned gift when you make your estate plans. You may also choose to honor a person's life through a tribute or memorial donation.

Waltonian Heritage Society

To ensure that the League can continue to defend America's outdoors, Waltonian Heritage Society members have chosen to make an irrevocable, long-term commitment, either through their estate plans or an outright gift of $1,500 or higher to the IWL Trust. Members receive benefits such as complimentary life membership, recognition during our annual National Convention, and an attractive gold Society pin.

When including the League in your will, you determine an amount, percentage or specific assets (real or personal) you wish to give from your estate. You can use the following sample bequest language in your will:

I hereby give and bequeath ______ (the sum of $___, or a specific asset, or ___% of my estate, or all of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal property of whatever kind and wherever situated, which I may own or have the right to dispose of at the time of my death) to the Izaak Walton League of America (IWLA), a nonprofit membership organization incorporated by the laws of the State of Illinois, having as its principle address 707 Conservation Lane, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20878-2983 and its general purposes and/or the IWL Trust.

You should consult with your legal and financial advisors when considering any planned gift.
