Hello Members, Praying you are staying healthy.  Deadlines and chapter update: The water has been turned off at the park until April 2021. Membership Renewal Dues need to be paid or postmarked by November 30, 2020 to avoid an additional 25% late fee. Members who have not paid membership dues and/or late fees in full by February 1, 2021, membership will be terminated. Former members must reapply as a new member and is subject to new initiation fees. (See Bylaws of the Claytor Lake Chapter of the IWLA [Series 1, Number 5] Article V, Section 3, H.) Work hour fees are waived for this year, 2020, due to COVID. The annual Christmas dinner is cancelled for this year due to COVID. Membership Renewal Fees - Due by or postmarked by November 30, 2020. Special General Membership Meeting Saturday, August 8, 2020 (Rain date Saturday, August 15) Hello Members, Hope you are all doing well and staying healthy. Hopefully by now you all have received your notice in the mail about the upcoming meeting on Saturday, August 8. For those members that have a new potential member that would like to join, both (sponsor and potential new member)  MUST  be at the 6:00 p.m. meeting on Saturday, August 8. We will be practicing social distancing. It would be preferred if you wear a mask but the is each individual's decision. See agenda below. AGENDA 9:00 A.M. - WORKDAY Social distancing will be practiced; mask if you prefer NO drinks, refreshments, or lunch provided. 4:30 P.M. - BOD MEETING 6:00 P.M. - SPECIAL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING ONLY   voting members  and potential new members are allowed at this meeting. Members will be sitting at the lower parking lot (boat trailer parking area at the shelter) with social distancing and mask if you prefer.

Hello Members, Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Just letting you know that the upper bathhouse is open. However, each member will need to clean and sanitize after they use it. Cleaning supplies are in each bathroom. There is a cleaning/sanitizing sheet in each bathroom that needs to be completed. Please check the appropriate boxes, initial and date the form. Thank you! Hello, Praying you all are staying healthy and practicing all the guidelines for COVID-19. As I'm sure most of you probably saw today, Governor Northam's update about campgrounds. Governor Northam said he was intending to open the campgrounds on Friday, May 15 but with restrictions that we have been (hopefully) practicing. Now keep in mind, if the confirmed cases of COVID-19 go up before next Friday, he could change the decision to open the campgrounds May 15. Sa y your prayers that doesn't happen. With the possibility of the campground opening on May 15, the water will be tested Monday and Tuesday (May 11-12); the tests will then be sent to the VDH in Richmond; and then we wait for the test results. With that said, the water WILL NOT and CANNOT be turned on UNTIL we get the green light that the water test were ALL GOOD from VDH. That could take a week or so. Hello, I hope and pray each of you and your families are staying healthy. I have received numerous inquiries today concerning the campground opening up. The same restrictions that applied yesterday to OUR campground STILL apply today and will apply to OUR campground until Governor Northam, Virginia's governor, says otherwise. I understand that other campgrounds are open now or will be opening; some with restrictions, some without. We are NOT other campgrounds. So, please, continue abiding by OUR campground guidelines and be patient with this situation that we are all in at this time.
