Endowment: Boy Scout National Jamboree

Boy Scout National Jamboree
The IWLA Endowment is delighted to have provided more than one-third of the funds required to support the League’s participation in this year’s Boy Scout National Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.

For 10 days in July, the League’s booth along the Conservation Trail brought League exposure to many thousands of attendees – youth and adults – at the Jamboree and went a long way in increasing the visibility of the League’s conservation message. Endowment funding supported production of the League’s exhibit, expenses incurred for interns, and some travel expenses for staff and volunteers.

Your Endowment continues to provide funding and support for chapter, division, and national projects across the League. This year, Endowment grants ranged from watershed protection to introducing youth to the outdoors and more.

Providing for the League’s attendance at the Boy Scout Jamboree is an excellent example of the Endowment’s support for programs that enhance the philosophies and objectives of the League.
