Invasive species cause more than $100 billion in losses ever year in the United States. At least 40 percent of threatened or endangered species are at risk due to invasive species.
The Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee (MRRIC) met in Kansas City from January 31 to February 2. The committee discussed the new Missouri River Recovery Management Plan Draft Environmental Impact Statement (MRRMP-DEIS).
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers responded to numerous requests, including from the League, to extend the public comment period for the Missouri River Recovery Management Plan Draft Environmental Impact Statement.
