New South Dakota Invasive Species Regulations

The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission approved six new or modified regulations, including four new rules dealing with invasive species, at its March meeting. There are three waters infested with zebra mussels in the state. The new rules deal with decontamination of boats and boats that are moored in infested waters. The intent of the new regulations is to prevent the spread of invasive species to other waters. Boaters need to be aware of the new regulations and always clean, drain, and dry your equipment every time you come off the water.
