Your Help is Needed in September!

IWLA Events

September is going to be a busy month! Your help is needed at four different events. If you can help out, please put these dates on your calendar.

  • September 16-17, Missouri River Outdoor Expo, Ponca State Park, Ponca, Nebraska: This is one of the largest free outdoor expos in the upper Midwest. The League will have a booth at the event again this year. We need a lot of hands there to keep up with the 40,000-50,000 people who attend the two-day event.
  • September 23-24, Iowa Outdoor Expo, Des Moines, Iowa: The Iowa Division has a booth at this event and your help is needed to talk to people about the League and help people with hands-on activities.
  • September 28, Madison Science Expo, Madison, Nebraska: The Ikes will have a booth here again to teach elementary-aged kids about the importance of water quality.
  • September 29, Riverfication Event, Sioux City, Iowa: The Ikes will give kids a primer on our Save Our Streams and Creek Freaks programs, teaching them about the importance of clean water.

More details on each of these events will be included in next month’s report. Please save the date(s) and come to help out. Contact Paul Lepisto at plepisto@iwla.org if you have questions or want additional information.
