South Dakota Ikes Meet

South Dakota Ikes Convention
Members of the League’s South Dakota Division met in Winner, South Dakota, April 28-30 for their annual state convention. The meeting featured informational sessions on habitat needed for pheasants, the benefits of pollinator habitat, recreational access to “non-meandered waters” (small lakes) in the state, and preparations by county law enforcement for the expected construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.

IWLA Regional Conservation Coordinator Paul Lepisto provided South Dakota Ikes with an update on the League’s position on the Missouri River Recovery Management Plan and on the activities of the Missouri River Initiative and how League members can help with upcoming events.
