Girl Scouts Adopt Stream Selfie as Citizen Science Project

League Selected as Girl Scout Citizen Science Partner

The League is excited to announce that Stream Selfie, our citizen science project linked with the Clean Water Challenge, has been selected as one of seven projects being promoted through a new Girl Scouts program.

“Think Like a Citizen Scientist” encourages Girl Scouts to select STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) activities where they can make a real impact on research that professional scientists are performing. Girl Scouts of the USA partnered with SciStarter, which connects people across the globe with citizen science projects, to help Girl Scouts complete this journey. Girls will learn how to identify a problem, come up with a solution, and create an action plan.

This is a great opportunity for chapters to engage local Girl Scout troops in the Clean Water Challenge! Visit the League website to download new resources and promotional tools the League developed to help you promote Stream Selfie in your community.
