When companies want to get noticed by NASCAR fans, what do they do? Sponsor a car or a truck in one of the national series. That’s a bit of a stretch for the Izaak Walton League (at least this year!).
Instead, we jumped on an opportunity to advertise in the 2017 championship program that will be sold at every track during the 10-race Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. A total of 350,000 programs were printed for sale at the races, and hundreds of thousands more digital versions of the program will be downloaded before the end of the championship run.
Our half-page ad is short, simple, and connects to a special landing page that introduces visitors to the League and gives them options to get involved, including finding a local League chapter.
For a modest investment, we put the League in front of hundreds of thousands of NASCAR fans. Many of these fans enjoy hunting, fishing, shooting sports, and other outdoor recreation activities just like we do. And we all share a passion for conserving the natural resources that support great times outdoors.
The national organization is always looking for opportunities to raise the visibility of the League. Running an ad in the NASCAR championship program is like leading one lap during a race – it’s an important move forward in achieving our goal of increased visibility.
