In honor of the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service, the League has been highlighting national parks and the Park Service in Outdoor America magazine and on the IWLA.org website. We had the pleasure of chatting with writer/co-producer Dayton Duncan about “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea,” the documentary he worked on with filmmaker Ken Burns. Our conversation ranged from discussion of national parks as the embodiment of the Declaration of Independence to the thrill of being named an honorary park ranger. You can hear more from Duncan – including material not included in the magazine – in clips from our interview. We know you’ll enjoy listening.
