In 2009, the League set up custom websites for interested chapters and divisions using Google Sites. Today, many chapters are using these sites to communicate with members and promote the chapter in the local community.
Recently, Google announced that it is going to “retire” all of the old Google Sites in 2018. It’s unclear if Google is going to delete existing websites or lock them, but all chapters using Google Sites will need to transition to a new site this year – and we can help! The new version of Google Sites offers a more streamlined look and multiple new features that will benefit your chapter.
If you have a Google Site that needs to be transitioned to the new format, please contact Amy Marathe, Communications Associate, at firstname.lastname@example.org
. She can help you transition smoothly, delete your old site, redirect your URL to the new site, and train you in the new format.
If you are interested in creating a brand new website for your chapter or division, please contact Amy and she will help you get started!
