Michigan Farm Bill Forum
Every five
years, a massive piece of legislation called
the Farm Bill determines how tens of billions
of dollars will be spent to shape American
agriculture and rural communities. Join the
Izaak Walton League of America and the National
Sustainable Agriculture Coalition on
Tuesday, March 27th at the Cannon
Township Hall in Rockford, Michigan
to learn how the Farm Bill impacts our food,
soil, air, water and budgets, share your
thoughts on Michigan’s Farm Bill priorities,
and discover how you can help shape sustainable
food and farm
policies.
Panel speakers will
discuss local food, nutrition, and conservation
programs within the Farm Bill beginning at 2
pm.
After a short local food reception at 4 pm, we will host a Citizens’ Session with an overview of the Farm Bill and advocacy training.
This event is free and open to the public, and food will be provided. However, an RSVP is required.
