Welcome to the Clinton County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League!

Our Clinton Chapter chartered in 1942 with 69 founding members. Our founders obtained property from the Clinton Park Board that became known as "Ike's Peak." Membership hit its high point inn the late '50's and 60's, with nearly 1200 members, being the third largest chapter in the League.

In 1996, we purchased & were donated 60 acres of land 5 miles northwest of Clinton on Highway 136. Our beautiful site includes a 1 1/2 -acre pond, walking trails, dedicated conservation land, an archery range, and a shooting range for handguns and rifles.

We presently have 125 members and are always looking for more. The Board meets the first Monday of every month at 5:30 in the Chapter Lodge. Those meetings are open to the public. When we get through Covid, we will return to a general meeting with a potluck meal the third Thursday of every month at 6:30.

Our grounds are beautiful and well kept by volunteers. Our Chapter house is a two story building with upstairs being a meeting hall that will comfortably hold 75 persons. The lower level has a nice kitchen, dining area and handicap accessible restrooms. The dining area seats about 35. Our facility is for rent to members and their guests. We are planning to add campsites so our members can further enjoy our beautiful setting. This is tentatively set for the summer of 2021.
