The Evansville Chapter was established in 1945. The clubhouse was built at the current location in 1988

and was extensively renovated in 2010. Facilities include trap, skeet sporting clays range, pistol range, rifle range, and several stripper pits for fishing and primitive camping.

The League pledge, which identifies the organization mission is:

"To strive for the purity of water, the clarity of air, and the wise stewardship of the land and its resources. To know the beauty and understanding of nature and the value of woodlands, wildlife, and open spaces; to the preservation of this heritage and to man's sharing in it, I pledge myself as a member of the Izaak Walton League of America."
